T W White & Sons are delighted to announce the continued support of local children’s charity, The Children’s Trust with a second Suzuki S-Cross on long-term loan.
The practical yet stylish Suzuki crossover is used to assist with essential transport of staff, parents and patients at The Children’s Trust, a Surrey based charity that supports children with brain injury.
Richard Fauvet, Transport Manager at The Children’s Trust, commented: “We are absolutely delighted to have such a stunning new vehicle to support our transport needs.”
The first loan vehicle was handed over to The Children’s Trust in December last year, shortly after the majorly facelifted S-Cross was launched in October. In addition to various styling revisions such as a new striking front grille, the redesigned S-Cross features Suzuki’s new efficient Boosterjet engines. The new Suzuki S-Cross offers improved CO2 emissions and fuel consumption and is available with either a 1.0 litre three-cylinder or and 1.4 litre four-cyclinder Boosterjet engine.
Maggie Clancy, Director of Clinical Services said “Massive thanks to TW White and Sons – how incredibly generous. [The car] makes a huge difference to the children and families.
Importantly, the Suzuki S-Cross is one of the safest vehicles on the road! It has been awarded a 5 star Euro NCAP rating – the highest available. It features Suzuki’s Total Effective Control Technology (TECT) concept for occupant-protecting impact absorption and low weight and is designed with extensive use of high-tensile steel which helps keep the body of the car light, while enhancing the vehicle’s crashworthiness substantially. As such, it is an ideal vehicle for use transporting patients, parents and staff at The Children’s Trust.
“It is important to stress that without loan cars we would not be able to properly support children with brain injury and their families,” Fauvet said. “A vital part of the rehabilitation process is spending time in the community with family and friends, for example during home visits. When a child progresses from wheelchair user to ambulant, transferring from a wheelchair accessible vehicle to a car is a massive leap forward. Having access to the S-Cross offers families and children greater freedom and choice. In addition, our Brain Injury Community Team use cars to travel nationwide to complete child assessments in schools and the wider community. The Suzuki S-Cross provides a safe, comfortable mode of transport for everyone”
