Mazda recognised at the Used Car Awards 2016

Raise a glass to Mazda and the Used Car Industry

Monday night saw the annual Car Dealer Magazine’s Used Car Awards at The Brewery in central London.  And with competition being fiercer than ever, Mazda were Highly Commended in not one, but two categories: Manufacturer Used Car Website of the Year and Manufacturer Used Car Scheme of the Year for Mazda Approved Used.

The Car Dealer Magazine’s Used Car Awards have been held for 5 years at The Brewery, hosted by Wheeler Dealers Mark Brewer.  This year’s event saw dealers from across the country join to celebrate what is shaping up to be a record year for used car sales.  According to SMMT statistics, a record 4.1 million used car changed hands in the first half of 2016, with this number rising to 6.3 million for the year to date.

With the industry growing and competition fierce, James Baggott, the founder of Car Dealer Magazine and CEO of parent company Baize Group, stated that this year’s competition was harder to judge than ever.

“We’ve had more nominations than ever before and some incredibly tough categories for our judges to call.  We mystery-shopped each and every one of the finalists that had been whittled down by our judging panel and we were still shocked at how many dealers failed to respond to our enquiries.  However, on the flip side, the top dealers were very good indeed – they went above and beyond the call of duty and showed the very best professionalism in this competitive business”

So congratulations to to Mazda for their commendations, as well as all the winners from Mondays event.
