Surrey’s Summer Beauty Spots

Its always important for us to make the most of this sunny weather here in the UK ,with the school holidays coming up and the sun staying out till late it is always nice to have family days out. One way to enjoy this weather is to explore the heart of Surrey’s many magnificent countryside escapes, take in amazing views, relax on the river and discover the wildlife that’s living all around you. These glorious Surrey summer beauty spots are perfect for summer picnics and relaxing strolls.

Box Hill

Box Hill is a stone’s throw away from our Effingham Suzuki dealership with plenty of green fields and rolling hills to walk, run and cycle across. Keep the dog’s tail wagging and the children happy as you step into the mystical woodlands and find yourselves fascinated by wonders of bugs, birds and mammals that call this woodland playground their home.

The beauty of Box Hill doesn’t stop there. Take in the 26-mile postcard-worthy view across the Weald to South Downs and choose from many stunning walks, ranging from half an hour to 4 hour walks, depending on how adventurous you’re feeling!

Bookham Commons

Bookham is not just home to some wonderful Commons and picturesque scenery; T W White and Sons Bookham has stood on Lower Road selling new and used Mazdas for a number of years, and we are proud to call Bookham home.

If you love the idea of walking along, fully immersed in the English countryside, then Bookham woods is the perfect place. Walk amongst the trees and keep a look out for the beautiful, elusive Purple Emperor butterfly who are popular residents in the Bookham woodlands.

Just a short drive away from the hugely popular woodland shores of Virginia Water Lake is our T W White and Sons Weybridge branch, specialising in the sales and aftercare of new and used Hyundai’s. Virginia Water is glorious through all four seasons, with a stunning 360° view of the lake’s parameters. Wander through hidden paths, canopied under the trees and wild flowers. Walk to the end of the trail and you’ll be greeted by the iconic waterfall, with water delicately cascading down the rocks. A favourite spot for the children is definitely the marvellous 100-foot totem pole, featuring 10 mystical characters etched into the tall wooden body.

River Wey & Godalming

In the opposite direction is the Byfleet T W White and Sons Aftersales Centre, easily accessed from the M25, M3 and A3 and located down the road from the River Wey and Godalming. The tranquil River Wey runs through nearly 20 miles of Surrey and offers visitors and families the opportunity to explore the trails, river banks and even hop on a 40-minute boat ride towards Guildford. Discover the history of Surrey waterways and pass through the Catteshall Lock as the boat leisurely meanders along the river.
