Suzuki has extended its VAT-free campaign until the end of September on its Alto, Splash and Swift models.
The Suzuki Alto SZ is officially the UK’s most affordable new car on sale, priced at £5,995 for the entry-level SZ model. The 68bhp 1.0-litre city car is ideally suited to those looking for a cheap and efficient runaround in an urban environment.
Returning 65.7mpg combined with 99g/km CO2 emissions, the Suzuki Alto is exempt from road tax and the London Congestion Zone charge. This means buyers who drive into the capital five days a week could save up to £2,600 a year over a city car emitting more than 100g/km CO2. It’s certainly food for thought.
The Alto SZ is also now available on Suzuki’s Driveplan lease scheme until September the 30th from just £99 per month, based on a £795 deposit, a 43-month contract and a final payment of £2,348.
The firm’s recently revised Suzuki Splash mini-MPV is also on offer at the same great price of £7,777 despite a host of upgrades.
The new car’s 68bhp 1.0-litre petrol motor is spritely and provides decent performance – an average of 60.1mpg combined with 109g/km CO2 emissions (meaning £20 road tax) will give affordable running costs in conjunction with the attractive purchase price, too.
The Swift SZ2 model is also on offer VAT-free at £8,888 – powered by the firm’s 94bhp 1.2 unit it returns 56.5mpg combined with 116g/km CO2, equating to £30 road tax.
This model comes equipped with ESP (Electronic Stability Program) as standard, as well as a host of airbags, remote central locking and electric windows. All this, combined with a seriously attractive price tag, makes the Swift SZ2 an attractive proposition.
Outside the VAT-free offers from Suzuki, there’s also some great 0% finance deals to be had on the Suzuki SX4 and Suzuki Grand Vitara models open until the end of September. For more information check out T W White and Sons’ Suzuki showroom in Effingham, Surrey.
