Hyundai i20 review

Hyundai i20

New Generation Hyundai i20

Lets face it.. Hyundai have pulled out the stops on this one. The i20 really does look smart and will certainly appeal to the younger driver.

The SE model is powered by the 1.2-litre petrol engine. There’s also a diesel to choose from, a 1.4-litre 89bhp unit.

The What Car review seems to have hit the nail on the head – “The new Hyundai i20 is a sensible, well-priced supermini that has a lot of space and is well equipped, but is let down by its below-par engines.”

With that said it is great news to hear that later in the year a couple of all-new three-cylinder turbo engines with 99bhp and 118bhp will replace the 1.2-litre motor. And these will be well worth waiting for if you don’t want to settle for an average size engine.

Inside, you wont be disappointed. The interior is spacious, comfortable and of a quality standard with simple, easy to use controls and packed with stuff that on most other cars are additional extras.

To drive, the Hyundai i20 is economical, not noisy and doesn’t vibrate or rattle, making it a great ride both in and around town as it is on the motorways.

Overall, the Hyundai i20 looks stylish, is easy to drive and very good value.
