WhatCar? Magazine Group Test results are out, which have yet again proven that the Hyundai i10 is heads and shoulders above the competition. It is a class leader in compact city cars and no-one is taking that position any time soon!
The most recent results of the extensive Group Testing saw the Citroen C1, Renault Twingo and Seat Mii take on the Hyundai i10, although none of the i10’s peers made a knock on this fantastic little car.
WhatCar? rate the vehicles on all aspects of motoring and design. Not an inch of the cars were left unscrutinised from their performance, feel behind the wheel, space and practicality and ease and expense of buying and owning.
In Forth Position: The Citroen C1
The Citroen C1 scored well on performance and infotainment, but the testing panel found it to be noisy to run, tight on space and to have a “sloppy gearshift”
In Third Position: The Renault Twingo
The Twingo was commended for having a fairly spacious cabin and refined engine but was “very slow” with an awkward driving position
In Second Position: The Seat Mii
The Seat Mii was described as “fun yet easy to drive” but was not as “refined our spacious as the i10”
The Winner: The Hyundai i10
Were we surprised by the results? Not at all. We know how great the Hyundai i10 is, and are pleased that WhatCar? agree with us! The Hyundai i10 is refined and sharp-looking with a “smart two tone dashboard giving the i10 a smart appearance” and a gearbox that “feels like it comes from a much pricier car”. Compact and efficient, the Hyundai i10 has the most spacious and comfortable interior and was commended for superb drive quality.
